Schedule: Training for three weeks 8AM-5PM EST
Shift: Mon- Fri: 9:30-6:30 OR 12-9 PM EST
Job Description
The Patient Care Coordinator will be supporting Specialty Pharmacy Call Center Operations. You will be handling inbound and outbound calls daily, providing a white glove experience of patient care to patients. This includes navigating computer systems and the use of the phone system.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations
- Enters prescription data into pharmacy software by reading the prescription; translating prescription information into corresponding system codes; transcribing appropriate prescription data
- Promotes and maintains the pharmacy's professional reputation and delivers pharmacy products and services to patients in accordance with local, state, and federal laws
- Complies with Medicare and Medicaid policies and procedures by implementing and adhering to rules and regulations for processing orders
- Ensures fulfillment of pharmacy prescriptions in a Home Delivery/Specialty pharmacy by identifying and selecting pharmaceutical products and quantities for prescription orders;
- Monitors and resolves problems in the prescription fulfillment process by utilizing knowledge of pharmacy processing procedures
- Maintains quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory
